Land Acknowledgement Mountain View School Division is located on Treaty 2 and Treaty 4 lands, the original lands of the Anishinaabek, Ininiwak and Dakota peoples, and the homeland of the Red River Métis Nation. We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of truth and reconciliation.

This year's theme is "Sharing Our Stories". Sharing stories takes many forms. MVSD's Coordinator of Library Services highlights the benefits of sharing stories and offers a calendar of activities that encourages families to share stories in various way.
The Manitoba School Boards Association sponsors the Student Citizenship Awards, which recognizes outstanding young people throughout Manitoba who are active participants in their communities and schools.
