Election Notice 2018

NOTICE OF ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that the voters of the Mountain View School Division Ward 2 {Grandview Municipality, Gilbert Plains Municipality, Municipality of Ethelbert and a portion of the RM of Mountain (South)} and Ward 4 {City of Dauphin} will be held to elect trustees from the following duly nominated candidates, listed in random order as they will appear on the ballots:

Voting places will be open on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 between 8:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. as follows:

 

WARD 2

  1. Residents of R.M. of Mountain – Cowan Community Centre and Pine River Community Centre
  2. Residents of Gilbert Plains Municipality – Gilbert Plains Emergency Services Building, 102 Main Street North, Gilbert Plains
  3. Residents of the Grandview Municipality – Grandview Kinsmen Community Centre, 435 Burrows Street, Grandview
  4. Residents of the Municipality of Ethelbert – Ethelbert Skating Rink, 32 – 2nd Avenue North, Ethelbert 

 

WARD 4

  1. Residents of the City of Dauphin - Dauphin Friendship Centre – 210 1st Avenue NE, Dauphin

 

Advance Voting

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on Election Day, an advance voting opportunity will be held as follows:

 

WARD 2

  1. Residents of R.M. of Mountain – Cowan Community Centre, Hwy 10 South, Cowan, October 11, 2018 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
  2. Residents of Gilbert Plains Municipality – Gilbert Plains Municipal Office, 201 Main St. North, Gilbert Plains, October 17, 2018 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
  3. Residents of the Grandview Municipality – Grandview Municipal Office, 531 Main Street, Grandview, October 17, 2018 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
  4. Residents of the Municipality of Ethelbert – Village of Ethelbert Office, #5 – 2nd St., Ethelbert, October 10, 2018 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm 

 

WARD 4

  1. Residents of the City of Dauphin, Dauphin City Hall, 100 Main Street South, Dauphin, October 18, 2018  8:00am to 8:00pm

           

Application to Vote by Sealed Envelope

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by fax to the senior election official {S.E.O.} at the address and fax number listed below.

If applying in person*, a voter may apply between September 26, 2018 and October 21, 2018.

* A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application. 

If applying by mail, or fax**, a voter may apply between September 26, 2018 and October 21, 2018.

** A voter applying by mail or fax will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the senior election official.
