The Manitoba COVID-19 Dashboard has reported cases involving individuals belonging to Lt. Colonel Barker V.C. School and MacKenzie Middle School.
COVID-19 cases of students and staff are reported on the Manitoba COVID-19 Dashboard even in situations when the individual has not been in the building during their period of communicability. These cases will show up on the COVID-19 Dashboard that includes a map for “school cases” found at https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/6e7af13b3ffb447a99734b0119b169d3/page/page_3/?views=view_10.
Letters of notification to a school community about a case are only sent by Public Health if it is determined there were close contacts or that there is a need to notify a school community about a particular case. Not all cases reported on the Dashboard will have resulted in a notification letter. The most recent cases at Lt. Colonel Barker V.C. School and MacKenzie Middle School did not result in any close contacts being identified and no notification to the school community was provided by Public Health.
