Public Health Protocols - Important Information

Please be aware that the current public health protocols state that when a household member is deemed a close contact, that all household members should self-isolate (quarantine) until the close contact has tested negative at day 10 or, if they are not tested, until they have finished their self-isolation (quarantine) period and they remain asymptomatic.  You can find more information on the topic at Information for Manitobans: Self-Isolation (Quarantine) and Isolation.

Public health officials will advise on specific recommendations based on the school exposure. In recent weeks, more aggressive measures for contacts are being implemented by public health officials overall based on the school exposure, and are not specific to whether a Variant of Concern is identified.  Although MVSD schools follow all COVID-19 protocols, public health may place entire classes or cohorts into isolation out of an abundance of caution.
