The Balanced School Day Model - submitted by Leifa Misko, MVSD Board Chairperson

After meeting with high school principals, we have made the difficult decision to postpone high school graduation to the fall. Please click on the above link to view a letter from Mr. Ward, Superintendent/CEO that has been sent to high school families.

SeeSaw and Class Dojo (Gr K-5) and Teams (Gr 6-12) have been recommended for MVSD classrooms as a means to organize and share learning resources with their families that have internet and device access. Click on the above link for more information, along with tutorials and supports!

In an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, all school and division buildings will be closed to the public during the period of suspended classes, effective March 23rd. Buildings will remain open to staff only during this period. Parents/guardians or students will be able to remain in contact with teachers via email. We will continue to post updates regarding COVID-19 implications on the website at www.mvsd.ca and via social media. You may reach the school division at 204-638-3001 or [email protected].

Use of playground equipment is prohibited at this time to limit the spread of COVID-19. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to use nearby greenspaces.

In an effort to support families and reduce barriers related to tech understanding, Kirsten Thompson, MVSD Coordinator of ICT, will be available Monday-Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to answer questions via the MVSD Facebook page (@MVSDmb). The first Q & A session will be on Monday, Mar. 23rd. This week many of our MVSD staff have been working on a community-building wellness project - check out their video by clicking on the above link! During this process, staff were able to practice their tech skills in video production, Office 365 collaboration and OneDrive file management. Great job! We're all in this together!
